Some forms are drawn by nature only once. Roots of Light is born from the meeting of spontaneous prickly pear fiber and the radiance of gold, preserving every irregularity of the material.
The fiber is carefully refined and covered in gold leaf, leaving its natural weave of solids, spaces and fine branches visible. The two intentionally different forms create an asymmetric balance, complementary without becoming identical.
Red madrepora, a coral-derived material, introduces a vibrant accent beside the glow of gold. A gold-plated sterling silver structure completes the composition with fine, essential lines, leaving the fiber in the foreground.
The pair follows the unrepeatable character of the fiber: shapes, openings and veins change naturally from one element to the next. This difference is preserved so that each creation retains its identity.
